Answer :- 1.24 x 10^8 m/s

(Speed of light - Glass) / (Speed of light - diamond) = ( v / 1.5) / (v / 2.42)

where v = Speed of light in vacuum.

(Speed of light in Glass) / (Speed of light in diamond) = 2.42 / 1.5 = 1.61

∴ Speed of light in diamond = Speed of light in Glass / 1.61

∴ Speed of light in diamond = 2 x 10^8 / 1.61 = 1.24 x 10^8 m/s
