The acceleration due to gravity at the surface of the moon is 1.67m/sec sq. The mass of the earth is about 81 times more massive than the moon. WHAT IS THE RATIO OF THE EARTH TO THAT OF THE MOON.

g = G M / R²

on Earth:    g1 = G M1 / R1²

on Moon :  g2 = G M2 /R2²

  g1/ g2 = (M1/ M2 )  (R2²/R1²)
  9.81 / 1.67  =  81 *  (R2/R1)²

   R2/R1  =  0.269

   R1/R2 =  3.71
