The acceleration of a particle starting from rest and
moving along a straight line at any time t is given
by a = 4 - 2V, where v is the velocity of particle at
any time t. The maximum velocity is
(1) 4 m/s
(2) 2 m/s
(3) 6 m/s
(4) Infinity

Hey Dear,

◆ Answer -

(2) 2 m/s

● Explaination -

For velocity of the particle to be maximum,

At v = vmax, dv/dt = 0

But we know dv/dt = a, thus -

a = 0

4 - 2vmax = 0

4 = 2 vmax

vmax = 4 / 2

vmax = 2 m/s

Therefore, maximum velocity of the particle will be 2 m/s.

Thanks for asking..
