EXPLANATION.

Acceleration of block of mass 5 kg.

As we know that,

By applying Constraints motion concept in this equation, we get.

Total tension on string = 2T.

Acceleration on 5 kg block = 2a.

First we draw the F.B.D of 10 kg block.

Now, we can write equation as,

⇒ 150N - 2T = 10a. - - - - - (1).

Draw F.B.D of 5kg block.

We can write equation as,

⇒ T = m x a.

⇒ T = 5 x (2a).

⇒ T = 10a. - - - - - (2).

Put the values of equation (2) in equation (1), we get.

⇒ 150N - 2(10a) = 10a.

⇒ 150N = 10a + 20a.

⇒ 150N = 30a.

⇒ a = 5 m/s².

Acceleration on 5kg block = 2a.

Acceleration on 5kg block = 2 x 5 = 10 m/s².

Option [B] is correct answer.
