Hi there,
you have two different forces acting on the paratopper here
The first is gravity pulling him straight down at a constant rate.
The second is the friction from the air acting opposite the direction of his motion. This force increases as your speed does. Until air resistance equals gravity at which point you stop accelerating and fall at constant velocity.
and the speed is 9.8m/sec²
