The acceleration of two objects are 5m/s2 and 20m/s2. If mass of both the object would be combined and a force of 50N would be applied on them, what will be their acceleration?

a₂ = 20ms⁻²

F=m*a

For 1st object:

50 N = m₁ * 5ms⁻²

50 N = m₂ * 20ms⁻²

m₂ = 50 / 20 = 2.5 Kg.

Total mass (M)= m₁+m₂ = 10 + 2.5 = 12.5 Kg.

Acceleration after combination:

F = M*a

a = F / M

a = 50 / 12.5 = 4ms⁻².
