Explanation:

The action of ptyalin enzyme stop bcoz of low ph. Th ph required by ptyalin to work is 6-7.4 and optimum is 6.8 . The ph of stomach is around 2 where pepsin acts by which further digestion of starch continues. Also pepsin kills ptyalin enzyme.

As we know that, temperature, ph etc affects the activity of enzyme and so ptyalin does not meet the requirement to work.
