An analogue clock is degrees.

360/12=30 degrees per hour

360/60=6 degrees per minute

So for 4 hours and 20 minutes 4 20/60 hours = 13/3 hours,

angle described by hour hand at the centre = 13/3 × 30

= 130 degrees

For 20 mins, the angle described by minute hand at the centre = - 20 × 6 = 120 degrees

so angle between them = 130 - 120 = 10 degrees
