Solution:

Let say three successive multiples of 9  

are 9k , 9(k+1) , 9(k+2)

Sum = 9k + 9(k + 1) + 9(k + 2)

= 9k + 9k + 9 + 9k + 18

= 27k + 27

= 27 ( k + 1)

The addition of three successive multiples of 9 is 81.

=>  27 ( k + 1) = 81

=> k + 1  = 3

=> k  = 2  

9k = 18

9(k+1) = 27

9(k+2) = 36

18 , 27 & 36 are three successive multiples of 9   whose addition is 81
