According to question:

 \frac{1}{2}  +  \frac{2}{1}  = 2

 \frac{1 + 4}{2}  =  \frac{5}{2}

since LHS is not equal to RHS

therefore the statement is False

Answer:

The correct answer of this question is false.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given - The additive inverse of 1/2 is 2 .

To Find - State whether true or false .

This statement is false.

The opposite of a number, negation of a number, or changed sign of an original number are all terms used to describe additive inverse. Fact: The additive inverse of zero is nothing but zero.

Because 2 does not equal zero when added to 12, it is not the additive inverse of 12. The additive inverse of a number 'x' is the number that produces zero when added to 'x'.
