measurement of the sides = 36 cm and 27 cm

perpendicular distance between shorter sides = 12cm

therefore, distance between longer sides = 36×h=27×12

= 36×h = 324

= h = 324/36

= 9cm .

Answer: 21.6 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Let ABCD be a parallelogram.

Area of parallelogram (taking longer side i.e. 36cm as base)= b*h

                                                                                                     =36*12

                                                                                                      =432cm²

Let the distance between the shorter side of parallelogram be x

Area of parallelogram= 432cm²

 ⇒   b*h= 432cm²

⇒ 20*x= 432cm²

⇒x= 432/20

⇒x= 21.6 cm
