The adjacent sides of a parallelogram are 36cm and 27cm in length .If the distance between the shorter sides is 12cm, find the distance between the longer sides.

given, ab= CD =36 cm
bc = ac=27cm
de= 12cm
to find- bm
we know that ar(llgm abcd)= base × height
taking base = bc=27 cm, we have height =12 cm=de
therefore area= 27×12=324cm sq.
now,
ab×bm= area(llgm abcd)=324cm sq.
36×bm = 324
bm = 324/36
= 9cm
