The adjacent sides of a parallelogram are in the ratio 4: 7. If its perimeter is 176 cm, find the sides of the parallelogram.​

Answer:

AB=4x and BC=7x

AB=DC=4x and BC=AD=7x

Now,the perimeter of ABCD is given by

AB+BC+CD+DA=176 cm

4x+7x+4x+7x=176 cm

22x=176cm

x=176/22

x=8cm

Hence,AB=CD=4x=4×4=16 cm

BC=DA=7x=7×7=49 cm
