Given :-

The adjacent sides of parallelogram are in the ratio 5 : 3

Longer side is 7.5 cm

Solution :-

Let the ratios be 5x and 3x

Longer side = 7.5

Therefore ,

5x = 7.5

x = 7.5 / 5

x = 1.5

The value of x = 1.5

Now ,

The shorter side = 3x = 3 * 1.5 = 4.5 cm

• Perimeter of parallelogram

= 2( Base + Height )

Put the required values in the formula ,

Perimeter of parallelogram = 2( b + h )

Perimeter of parallelogram = 2 ( 7.5 + 4.5 )

Perimeter of parallelogram = 2 * 12

Perimeter of parallelogram = 24 cm^2
