Answer:

It's sides are 48 cm and 32 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

The adjacent sides of a rectangle are length and breadth which is in ratio 2:3

Now let length = 2x and breadth = 3x

Formula of perimeter is:-

Perimeter \:of \:rectangle = 2(l + b)

where, l is length and b is breadth

Given that perimeter = 80 cm

and found that length = 2x and breadth = 3x

We apply this in formula.

80 = 2(2x + 3x)

 \frac{ \cancel{80} { \: }^{40} }{ \cancel2}  = 5x \\

5x = 40

x =  \frac{ \cancel{40}  \: {}^{8} }{ \cancel5}  {}^{ {}^{ } } = 8 \\

∴ length = 2x = 2 × 16 = 32 cm

breadth = 3x = 3 × 16 = 48 cm
