We can solve this using pythagoras:

Take rectangle ABCD,

AC is a diagonal, and its the hypotenuse of Triangle ABC

Also, AB:BC = 4:3, or AB = 4x, BC = 3x

So, by pythagoras:

20^2 = (4x)^2 + (3x)^2

400 = 16x^2 + 9x^2

400 = 25x^2

x^2 = 400/25

x = 16

x = 4.

So, now that we have x = 4, we can calculate the two sides

AB = 4x = 4*4 = 16

BC = 3x = 3*4 = 12

Hope this helped!
