\large{\boxed{\bold{Answer:}}}

Base = 16m

Height = 8m

Area of the parallelogram,

16 \times 8 = 128

Shorter side = 10m

Area of parallelogram,

128 = 10h \\ \\ = > h = \frac{128}{10} \\ \\ = > h = 12.8

The distance between the shorter sides i.e = 12.8m

\large{\boxed{\bold{Hope\:it\:helps\:you!}}}

Area of ||gm

= 16 x 8
= 128

Shorter side = 10m

Area of ||gm
= 128 = 10h
h = 128/10

H = 12.8

Ans is 12.8m
