The adjacent sode of a parallelogram are on the ration 5:3. If the longer of the two sides is 7.5 cm , find the perimeter of the parallelogram

Answer:

Ratio of sides = 5:3

Let adjacent sides be 5x , 3x

Let the longest be 5x

Then ,

5x = 7.5 cm

x = 7.5/5

x = 1.5 cm

Longest side = 7.5 cm = l

Another side = 3x = 3*1.5 = 4.5 cm = b

Perimeter of ||gm = 2(l+b)

= 2(7.5+4.5) cm

= 2(12) cm

= 24 cm
