The adjoining figure shows two circles with the same center.
The radius of the larger circle is 10 cm and the radius of
smaller circle is 4 cm. Then find:-
The area of larger circle.
The area of smaller circle.
The shaded area between the two circles.
(use n = 3.14]

HEY..

AREA OF SMALLER CIRCLE = πr^2 =

\frac{22}{7} \times 4 \times 4 = \frac{22 \times 16}{7}

= 352/7=50.28

AREA OF LARGER CIRCLE =π r^2

= 22/7*10*10

= 2200/7 = 314.28

Area of shaded region = 314.28 - 50.28 = 264 cm ^2
