Advantages
You get all the love and attention of your parents and extended family.
You don't have to share your stuff.
What happens in School/College stays there! As there are no siblings running around in the same campus.
You get to watch the channels you want without a good hard fight. Basically, you own the remote.
You don't have to babysit your younger siblings.
You can shut the outside world and have peace with yourself. There is no one to come around and bother you just to kill time.
Disadvantages
To start with, you don't have a sibling. I don't know how else to put it.
You become self centric, selfish.
You become shy and bad at small talks.
You hate the concept of sharing.
You are gonna miss a Big Bro or Big Sis to cover you when you are bullied.
You have no one to practice all the cool WWE moves.
There will be no multiplayer mode in gaming..
When you don't have a sibling of opposite gender you basically suck at communicating to your opposite gender. At least in most cases.
You will lack fight for your right attitude. Either you go with everything is mine or I don't need anything attitude.
You cannot tolerate bullying even to a small extent. But when you have sibling you will be very well in constant practise.
There is no replacement to your sibling's life lessons. You will miss that.
