let the current age of A and B be 7x and 5x.
According to question . after 12 year
age of A = 7x+12
age of B =5x+12
now , as given in question ,
(7x+12)/(5x+12)=5/4
4(7x+12)=5(5x+12)
28x+48=25x+60
3x=60-48
3x=12
x=4
therefore current age of A =7x=7×4=28 years
current age of B =5x=5×4=20
