Present Ages of A & B are 9 & 12 years if the age of A and B are in the ratio 3 : 4 & 5 year later the sum of their ages will be 31 years

Step-by-step explanation:

Let say There present ages  are  A  & B

A : B  ::  3 : 4

=> A/B = 3/4

=> B = 4A/3

5 Year after A's Age = A + 5  Years

5 Years After B's Age = B + 5  Years

= 4A/3 + 5  Years

A + 5 + 4A/3 + 5  = 31

=> (3A + 4A)/3  = 21

=> 7A = 63

=> A = 9

B = 4A/3  = 4 * 9/3

=> B = 12

Present Ages of A & B are 9 & 12 years
