Answer:

Let the ratio be 5x:7x.

Age of A after four years = 5x+4

Age of B after four years = 7x+4

According to Question,

5x+4/7x+4 = 3/4

=> 4 (5x+4) = 3 (7x+4)

=> 20x + 16 = 21x + 12

=> 16 - 12 = 21x - 20x

=> x = 4

Hence, present age of A = 20 years

Present age of B = 28 years

Answer:

let the common ratio is x

age of A is 5x

age of B 8s 7x

after 4 years ,age if A is 5x+4

after 4 years ,age if B is 7x+4

so

(5x+4):(7x+4)=3:4

(5x+4(/(7x+4)=3/4

3(7x+4)=4(5x+4)

21x+12=20x+16

21x-20x=16-12

x=4

the age of A is 5×4 years =20 years

the age of B is 7×4years=28 years
