The age of a father is 5 years mire than the age of 6 times of his son's age. After 7 years the age of father will be 3 more than his son's age. Find their present ages.

Answer 1

Let age of son=x years
Age of father =6x+5 years
7 years later
Age of son=x+7 years
Age of father=3(x+7)
ATQ. 3(x+7)=6x+5+7
3x+21=6x+5+7
3x-6x=5+7-21
-3x=-9
3x=9
x=9/3=3
Age of son=x=3
Age of father=6x+5
6*3+5=23

let the son's age be :x
then father's age will be 5+6x

.............after 7 years ...................
the age of son will be x+7
then the age of father will be 3x+7

ATQ.............

age of father will be; 3 more than his son's is : 3(x+7) = 3x+21

then the present ages of there are :

3x+21=6+6x
21-6=6x-3x
15=3x
x=15/3 = 5

son=5years
father=5+30
=35years
