Correct Question :-

  • The age of a man 3 times the age his son and after 5 years his age will be double the age of his son.

To find :-

  • Present age of the man

Solution :-

Let the present age of his son be x then his father be 3x

  • After 5 years
  • Son's age = x + 5
  • Father's age = 3x + 5

According to the given condition

→ 3x + 5 = 2(x + 5)

→ 3x + 5 = 2x + 10

→ 3x - 2x = 10 - 5

→ x = 5

Therefore,

  • x = 5 years

Hence,

  • Present age of son = x = 5 years

  • Present age of Father = 3x = 15 years
