Let the age of the man be x

The age of the daughter be y

Sum of ages = 41

i.e, x+y = 41

Difference of ages = 23

i.e., x-y=23

Adding the two equations, we get

x+y+x-y = 41+23

2x = 64

x = 32

{\underline{\boldsymbol{ \pink{According \: to \: the \: question :}}}}

❍Let age of daughter be "x" years.

\\

Then age of man = (x + 23)

\\

\sf{x + (x + 23) = 41}

\\

\sf{x + x + 23 = 41}

\\

\sf{2x + 23 = 41}

\\

\sf{2x = 41 - 23}

\\

\sf{2x = 18}

\\

\sf{x = 9}

\\

\sf{x + 23=9+23=32 \ years.}

Therefore,

\sf{Age \  of \ man \ is \ } {\textsf{\textbf{\pink{32 years.}}}}
