The age of a man is 9 times as old as his son in 2010. in 2011, his age is equal to the square of his son's age. what is the age of the man in 2013 ?

Answer-

Suppose the age of a son in 2010 is x years.

So according to the question,
Father's age in 2010 is 9x years.

Now,son's age in 2011 = x+1 years.
&
Father's age in 2011 = 9x+1 years.


But according to the question,

(9x+1) = (x+1)^2

=> 9x+1 = x^2 + 2x + 1
=> x^2 + 2x - 9x = 0
=> x^2 - 7x = 0
=> (x)(x-7) = 0

Since age can not be zero,
x=7

So the father's age in 2010 = 9x =9×7=63 years

●So the age of father in 2013 = 63+3 = 66 years.
