let the sum of children age be y and man age be x

then x=3y

x-3y=0 ...1

1n 5 years:

age of man is double the sum of children age

x+5=2(y+5+5)

x+5=2y+20

x-2y=20-5

x-2y=15 ...2

on multiplying 1with2 and 2with 3we get

2x-6y=0

3x-6y=30

2x-6y=0

- 3x+6y=-30

-x=-30

x=30

man age is 30 year and sum of children age is 10 year
