Answer:

Friends…!

Let the sum of ages of 2 sons be x.

As per statement the age of the person is twice the sum of the age of 2 sons

Hence this person's age is 2x

5 years back his age was thrice the sum of their age

5 years back this person age 2x - 5 and thrice the sum of two sons ages was 3 (x - 10)

2x - 5 = 3(x - 10)

2x - 5 = 3x - 30

2x - 3x = 5 - 30

—x = —25

x = 25

The sum of ages of two sons is 25 years, thus this man age 2x = 2 × 25 = 50 years.

Answer the present age of this person is 50 years
