Hey mate !!

Answer:

the age of father is 50 years

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the present age of person be x

and that of the sum of ages of his two sons be y

Given , The age of the person is twice the sum of the ages of his two sons

i.e, x = 2y .... ( i )

and Five years ago ;

Father age was = x - 5

The sum of two sons age was = y - 10

Given,

five years ago his age was thrice the sum of their ages.

x - 5 = 3 ( y - 10 )

x - 5 = 3y - 30

x - 3y = - 25 ---- ( ii )

from i in ii

2y - 3y = -25

y = 25

So, x = 2y

x = 2 ( 25 )

x = 50

So, the age of father is 50 years
