The age of Anu’s mother is 4 times that of Anu. After 4 years it would be 3times. What are their ages now?​

Anum's Mother = 4 times Anu

After 4 years

Anu mother = 3 times Anu

Let anus mother age be x and anus be y

x = 4y

=> x - 4y = 0 ------- (1)

x + 4 = 3 ( y + 4)

=> x + 4 = 3y + 12

=> x - 3y = 8 -------- (2)

In (1)

x = 4y

Substituting x in (2)

4y - 3y = 8

Therefore y = 8

Sustituting y in (1)

x = 4y = 4*8 = 32

Hence anus age = 8

Hence anus mother age = 32
