let the present age of father be x years and son be years.
first case:. (x-10)=3(y-10)
(x-10)=3y-30
x-3y=-20-----------1)
Second case:
(x+10)=2(y+10)
x+10=2y+20
x-2y=10-----------2)
on solving we get,x=30years. and y=10years
ratio: 3:1 Ans
