Let the present age of son be x. So age of father is 8+2x.
Back to 8 years,Age of son was x - 8Therefore, age of father was 5(x-8).
According to the present age, his father would have been 2x years old 8 years ago. So,5(x-8) = 2x⇒ 3x = 40⇒ x = 13.34 ≈ 13.Therefore, present age of son is 13 and that of father is 26.
