Given Father's age is x
and son's age is y

• age of father is 3 years more than three times the age of his son

x = 3 + 3y

x - 3y = 3 ... ( i )

• After three years

father's age :- x + 3
Son's age :- y + 3

• Father age is now 10 years more than twice the age of his son

x + 3 = 10 + 2 ( y + 3 )

x + 3 = 10 + 2y + 6

x - 2y = 16 - 3

x - 2y = 13 ..... ( ii )

So, ( i ) & ( ii ) are required linear equation.
