the age of father is double of the age of his son. 20 years ago,the age of father was 12 times of the age of his son. what is the present age of father.

let son's age be S
let father's age be F...so according to question
father's age is 2S
now 20yrs ago...father. age is twelve times son's age....which means
F-20 = 12(2S - 20)
2S-20=24S - 240
220=22S
S=10
so, fathers age will be..
2S = 2 × 10
=} 20 yrs ANS
