The age of father is twice the sum of the ages of his two children. After 20yrs his age would be as equal to the sum of ages of his children. Find the age of father

and the age of daughter be y

x = 2(y + y) ....let it be equation 1

and after 20 years

means + 20

x = 2 ( 20 +y + y +20 )

x = (40 + 2y + 40 )

x = 80 + 2 y

x - 2 y = 80

x +y= 80/-2

x+y = -40
