Given :

Radhika's mother is square the age of Radhika.

5 years hence Mother is 3 times of Radhika.

According to the question :

Let Radhika's age be ' x '

so, Radhika's mother will be ' x^2 '

3 times ( x + 5 years ) = Mother + 5 years

( both will be 5 years older )

Equation :

☞ 3 ( x + 5 ) = x^2 + 5

☞ 3x + 15 = x^2 + 5

☞ x^2 - 3x - ( 5 - 15 )

☞ x^2 - 3x - 10

☞ ( x + 2 ) ( x - 5 )

☞ x = 5

x + 5

☞ 5 + 5

☞ 10.

x^2 + 5

☞ 5^2 + 5

☞ 25 + 5

☞ 30.

Difference = 30 - 10

= 20.

Therefore, In 5 years,the

difference in their age is

20.
