Here your answer goes

Step :- 1

Let the age of Radhika be x

So , the age of Radhika's mother be y

y = x^2

Step :- 2

⇒ Five years hence ,

The age of mother will be ( y + 5 )

The age of Radhika will be ( x + 5 )

⇒ ( y + 5 ) = 3 ( x + 5 )

⇒ x^2 + 5 = 3x + 15

⇒ x^2 - 3x + 10 = 0

⇒ x^2 + 2x - 5x - 10 = 0

⇒ x(x + 2) - 5(x + 2) = 0

⇒ (x - 5)(x + 2) = 0

⇒ x = 5 and -2

Since , Age cannot be negative

We reject -2

y = x^2

==> 5^2

⇒ 25 years

Mothers age is 25 years

Then Radhika age is 5 years

Therefore the difference between Radhika age and her mother age is 25 years  - 5  years => 20 years
