Solution :-

Let the present age of Rajan's son be x then Rajan's present age be 9x

• After 3 years
• Rajan's son age = x + 3
• Rajan's age = 9x + 3

After 3 year age of Rajan would be 5 times then of his son.

According to the given condition

→ 5(x + 3) = 9x + 3

→ 5x + 15 = 9x + 3

→ 15 - 3 = 9x - 5x

→ 12 = 4x

→ 4x = 12

→ x = 12/4

→ x = 3

Hence,

• Present age of Rajan's son = x = 3 years
• Present age of Rajan = 9x = 27 years
