Let present age of Ram and shyam are 8x and 6x.

A/c,

8x - 10 / 6x - 10 = 7/5

5 ( 8x - 10 ) = 7 ( 6x - 10 )

40x - 50 = 42x - 70

40x - 42x = -70 + 50

-2x = -20

x = 10

Present age of Ram = 8x = 80 year's.

And

Present age of Shyan = 6x = 60 years.

Let Present ages of Ram and Shyam be 8a and 6a.

10 Years ago age of Ram = (8a - 10 )

And , 10 Years ago age of Shyam = ( 6a - 10 ).

According to the question,

8a - 10 / 6a - 10 = 7 / 5

By Cross multiplication method ,

5 ( 8a - 10 ) = 7 ( 6a - 10 )

40a - 50 = 42a - 70

42a - 40a = 70 - 50

2a = 20

a = 10

Therefore,

Present age of Ram equal to 8a equal to 8 × 10 =80 year's.

And,

Present age of Shyam is equal to 6a equal to 6 × 10 = 60 years.
