Let Ravi's age be y and Rahul's age be x

According to the question,

x+5=y. (1)

5 yrs ago,

Ravi = y-5 yrs

Rahul = x-5 yrs

Ratio = 3:2

y-5/x-5= 3/2

2(y-5) = 3(x-5)

2y-10 = 3x-15

By (1),

2(x+5) - 10 = 3x-15

2x+10-10=3x-15

2x=3x-15

Thus, x is 15

15+5=20

Thus Ravi is 20 yrs and Rahul is 15 yrs old.
