the age of Seeta is 5 years more than the age of Geeta .after 5 years the ratio of their ages will be 3:2. find their present ages

x /x plus 5 is equals to 3/2
2 multiplied by x is equals to 3 multiplied by x plus 5 .
2x is equals to 3x plus 15
2x minus 3x is equals to 15
-x is equals to 15
x is equals to -15.

let age of seeta be y

Now according to the question
y=x+5 ........(1)
now after 5 years
y+5\x+5 =3/2
or
2y+10=3x+10
therefore 2y=3x........(2)

now from (1)
put value of y in (2)
therefore
2(x+5)=3x

2x+10=3x

3x-2x=10
therefore
x=10

now put this value in (1)
y=10+5
y=15

present age of geeta is 10yrs

and present age of seeta is 15yrs.
