Let,

• Present Age of Suresh = x year
• Present Age of Ganesh = y year

Case(1).

(Age Ratio of Suresh & Ganesh is 3 : 4 )

➥ x : y = 3 : 4

➥ x/y = 3/4

➥ 4x - 3y = 0 -----------------(1)

Case(2).

(three years later , the sum of their ages will be 76 years)

➥ (x+3) + (y+3) = 76

➥ x + y = 76 - 6

➥x + y = 70 -------------------(2)

Multiply by 4 in equ(2)

➥ 4x + 4y = 280 --------------(3)

Subtract equ(1) & equ(3)

➥ - 3y - 4y = - 280

➥ -7y = -280

➥ y = -280/(-7)

➥ y = 40

Keep Value of y in equ(1)

➥ 4x - 3*40 = 0

➥4x = 120

➥ x = 120/4

➥ x = 30

Let the present age of Suresh be 3x and the present age of Ganesh be 4x .

Three years later ,

Age of Suresh = 3x + 3

Age of Ganesh = 4x + 3

According to the question ,

$\rm\longrightarrow 3x + 3+4x+3=76\\\\\longrightarrow 7x+6=76\\\\\longrightarrow 7x=70\\\\\longrightarrow\bf\underline{x = 10}$

Present age of Suresh = 30 years

Present age of Ganesh = 40 years
