Z + Y = 60

Simplify (Y+10) x 4 using the distributive property to get

Z + 10 = 4Y + 40 then Z = 4Y + 30 and Z + Y = 60

Replace Z with 4Y + 30 to get

5Y + 30 = 60 or 5Y = 30

30/5 = 6, so Tariq is 6 years old

60 - 6 = 54, so Tariq's Father is 54 years old
