let the ages be x
=present age of father 4x
after 29 years:
sons ages will be 2x +29 years
and father's age will be 4x+29 years
a/q
4x+29=2(x+29)
4x +29=2x+58
4x - 2x =58-29
2x= 29
x= 29/2=14.5
present age of son = 14.5 years
present age of father =3x= 3 Ɨ14.5 years = 43.5 years
