Let the age of Namami be x and Shivu be y

The age of two friends Namami and Shivu differ by 3 years.

  • x - y = 3 ---(i)

Namami's father Rohit is twice as old as

Shivu.

  • Age of Rohit = 2x

Shivu is twice as old as his sister Lalitya.

According to given condition

→ Shivu's age = y

  • Lalitya's age = y/2

The ages of Lalitya and Dharam differ by

30 years.

→ Rohit's age - Lalitya's age = 30

→ 2x - y/2 = 30

→ 4x - y/2 = 30

→ 4x - y = 60 - -(ii)

Subtract both equations

→x-y-(4x - y) = 3 - 60

→x - y - 4x + y = -57

→-3x = -57

→x = 57/3 = 19

Putting the value x in eq^n (i)

→x - y = 3

→ 19 - y = 3

→y=19-3

→y = 16

  • Namami's age = 19 years

  • Shivu's age = 16 years

Answer:

Let the age of Namami be x and Shivu be y

The age of two friends Namami and Shivu differ by 3 years.

x - y = 3 ---(i)

Namami's father Rohit is twice as old as  Shivu.

Age of Rohit = 2x

Shivu is twice as old as his sister Lalitya.

According to given condition

→ Shivu's age = y

Lalitya's age = y/2

The ages of Lalitya and Dharam differ by

30 years.

→ Rohit's age - Lalitya's age = 30

→ 2x - y/2 = 30

→ 4x - y/2 = 30

→ 4x - y = 60 - -(ii)

Subtract both equations

→x-y-(4x - y) = 3 - 60

→x - y - 4x + y = -57

→-3x = -57

→x = 57/3 = 19

Putting the value x in  (i)

→x - y = 3

→ 19 - y = 3

→y=19-3

→y = 16

Namami's age = 19 years

Shivu's age = 16 years
