The ages in years of 10 teachers of a school are that
32,41,28, 54, 35,26,23,33,38, 40.

(i)What in the age of the oldest teacher and that
of the Yongest teacher ?

(ii) what is the range of the ages of the teachers?

(iii) What is the mean age of these teachers?​

(I) Arrange the ages in ascending order we get:-

23,26,28,32,33,35,38,40,41,54

We find the age of oldest teacher is 547 years and the age of the youngest teacher is 23 years.

(II) Range of the ages of the teachers

(54-23) years =31 years.

(III) Mean age of the teachers are

\dfrac{=23+26+28+32+33+38+40+41+54}{10}=years

\dfrac{=350}{10}=35years

Answer :-

Arranging data in ascending order

= 23, 23, 28, 32, 33, 35, 38, 40, 41, 54

Age of oldest teacher = 54 Years.

Age of youngest teacher = 23 years.

(ii) what is the range of the ages of the teachers?

Answer :-

Range = Age of oldest teacher − Age of youngest teacher

= 54 − 23

= 31 years.

(iii) What is the mean age of these teachers?​

Answer :-

Mean age = (   )/(  ℎ)

= (23 + 26 + 28 + 32 + 33 + 35 + 38 + 40 + 41 + 54)/10

= 350/10

= 35 years.
