current age of A = 5x and that of B is 7x

4 years from now

Age of A will be 5x +4 and that of B will be 7x+4

from the question we know

(5x+4)/(7x+4) = 3/4

solving the equation we get

20x + 16 = 21x + 12

x = 4

so current age of A is 5*4 = 20

and that of B is 7*4 = 28
