ratio of a and b= 7:5

a/b= 7/5
a=7/5b

a+10/b+10= 9/7
7/5b +10/b+10= 9/7
7(7/5b+10)=9(b+10)
49/5b + 70= 9b+90
49/5b-9b=90-70
(49b-45b)/5=20
4/5b=20
b=20*5/4b
b=25
a=7/5 b
a= 7/5*25
a=35
b=25
hence, the present ages of a and b are 35 and 25 respectively

Given : The Ages of A and B are in the Ratio 7 : 5

Let the Age of A be : 7(Potter)

Let the Age of B be : 5(Potter)

After 10 Years :

Age of A will be : 7(Potter) + 10

Age of B will be : 5(Potter) + 10

Given : After 10 Years, The Ratio of Ages of A and B will be 9 : 7

\bf{\implies \frac{7(Potter) + 10}{5(Potter) + 10} = \frac{9}{7}}

⇒ 7[7(Potter) + 10] = 9[5(Potter) + 10]

⇒ 49(Potter) + 70 = 45(Potter) + 90

⇒ 4(Potter) = 20

⇒ (Potter) = 5

⇒ The Present Age of B : 5(Potter) = (5 × 5) = 25 Years
