Answer :-

Let the age of A be 8x

Age of B = 3x

After 6 years -

Age of A = 8x + 6

Age of B = 3x + 6

According to the question :-

\sf 8x + 6 : 3x + 6 = 9 : 4

\sf =\frac{8x + 6 }{3x + 6 }  =  \frac{9}{4}

\sf = 4(8x + 6) = 9(3x + 6)

\sf = 32x + 24 = 27x + 54

\sf = 32x - 27x = 54 - 24

\sf = 5x = 30

\sf = x = 6

Age of A = 6 × 8 = 48 years

Age of A = 6 × 8 = 48 years Age of B = 6 × 3 = 18 years
